Hanham Players always need help backstage for productions. The stage crew meet every Wednesday between 7:30 and 10pm. Our stage work consists of set construction (which involves a hammer and some paint), Lighting, Sound and special effects. Everyone is involved with the set design as we all have to build it, and this sometimes involves Sunday evenings as we get closer to the date of the show.

Joining the stage crew provides an excellent opportunity to develop team working and can be good for your CV - especially to get into theatre courses. We have lots of fun and gather for a drink after an evenings work. We also get involved with the club social activities.

Operating both Sound and Lighting requires a bit more practice - unlike buidling the set!!
Panto 04, 05 & 06 Lighting - Operated by Kevin Lawrence and assisted by Jess (my daughter)

Operating Followspot is a great way to start on Lighting; as is doing some painting
and hitting a few nails in - its childs play! (well Jess seems to think so)
May 07 - Jess (my daughter) is getting bigger and helping with the Lighting.
